Nak sebut sikit2 ttg fakta dan motivasi dlm bola… lps ni malas dah nak sentuh ttg bola, banyak lg perkara lain yg kita perlu fikirkan. Kali ni nak try taip guna english sekali, lama dah tinggal English, grammar pun jd berterabur habis…
- South Korea in WC ‘02 and Greece in Euro ’04 showed that teamwork, discipline and unity could make them succeed, although they didn’t have star players (at least for that time) in their team… [korea was WC ’02 semifinalist, while Greece was the Euro ’04 champion]
- In Euro 2000, when Italy prepared to celebrate victory 1-0 over France, Slyvain Wiltord (in WC ’06 just play as France substitute striker) scored a goal 17 seconds before full time. France then won the match 2-1 after additional time.
- AC Milan was ahead 3-0 in European Champion’s League Final (and I almost leave Pelita Restaurant that time) before Liverpool scored 3 successive goals in 2nd half (I think the scorers are Gerrard, Riise and Smicer). Liverpool then won the cup after penalty shootout.
- After several times played the role as 2nd goalkeeper (Oliver Kahn was the 1st choice keeper), Jens Lehmann finally has opportunity to play as 1st choice German goalkeeper in WC ’06 [they both are now 36 y-old]. Unfortunately Poyet (France) still didn’t make it although his good performance with Lyon [Poyet and Barthez are now 34 y-o] .
- After doing a mistake which allowed German(if I’m not mistaken) to score, France defender Lilian Thuram with strong determination had succeed to score 2 goals, and France won the WC ’98 semifinal 2-1 [Thuram before the mistake was seldomly move forward near opponent’s post].
- Before 1958 WC, many Brazilian said that it was too early for 17 y-o Nascimentos de Santos(forgot how to spell it correctly) a.k.a. Pele to be in the Brazil WC squad. But he proved that they were wrong. Pele scored hatrick in semifinal and 2 goals in final (beat Sweden 5-2) to lead Brazil won the Jules Rimet Cup.
- 5 minutes from stoppage time, Spain still leading South Korea 2-0 in WC ‘90(if i’m not mistaken, didn’t remember whether WC ‘90 or ‘94, still young that time), but with strong will Korea manage to score 2 goals to get a draw..
